Colin has spent the majority of his career working in the home improvement industry. His businesses have been built with a trustworthy and honest approach, high quality products, and service delivered by fun loving and passionate teams. Colin and his wife Ashley reside in Loveland Ohio with their three children. While not working, Colin loves cooking and spending time with his family
Michael Nungesser
Michael is a career home improvement professional with over 20 years’ experience. Along with owning Top Rated Gutters, Michael owns and operates several successful Five Star Painting franchises in the state of Georgia. Prior to making the career move to franchise ownership with Five Star Painting, Michael was the Managing Partner for Champion Home Exteriors in Macon and Columbus, GA. Michael understands it takes a team of highly qualified employees to deliver superior customer service and quality projects.
Michael is married to the Office Manager, Joy, and together they have two children (Owen and Reese). When not at work, Michael enjoys traveling, working around his home, and cheering on his alma mater – the Georgia Bulldogs.
Scott Specker
Scott currently owns and operates Five Star Painting of Cumming, Alpharetta, and Buford proudly based in Cumming, GA. Scott’s franchise has lended its services to over 14,000 homes and has completed over 6,000 jobs, and counting, in his 10 plus years of business. This extensive experience has made him an expert in his field and has propelled his business to include extensive and large scale commercial painting projects.
Five Star Painting of Cumming, Alpharetta, & Buford has completed several big-box retailers including Walmart and Rooms to Go. Scott’s knowledge, charisma, and expertise in small business ownership, entrepreneurship, and the painting industry, has led him to gain and maintain a loyal customer base, establishing various business opportunities, and conducting a number of speaking engagements. Scott and the Five Star Painting team are also committed to giving back to the community and being involved with local charity projects.
Scott’s 18 years of experience working with marketing and sales professionals in the Consumer Product Goods Industry has aided in bringing his franchise much success. He has worked directly with the brand and sales marketing teams from Fortune 500 companies such as HJ Heinz, Georgia-Pacific, and The Coca-Cola Company while being employed as a Global Client Director for The Nielsen Company.
When he is not working, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife of 26 years, Sharon, and three sons, Griffin, Evan, and Luke. Scott enjoys traveling, wood working, fly fishing, and playing tennis. He also loves being an active member of his local Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and sitting on the board of a local non-profit.
Brian Ammerman
From his humble start managing a fast food restaurant, then beginning his last career at the bottom, working in assembly at an automotive manufacturing business. Through dedication, and determination, advancing every couple years to his final role as a Regional Sales Director; having always prided himself in finding efficient systems while delivering exceptional customer service. He quickly learned that if you take care of your employees and your customers, then you can be successful at any business.
He started his first Five Star Painting in Illinois in 2016 and carried over all of the leadership skills and philosophies that he learned in his previous industry. He quickly expanded to purchasing 2 additional territories in Illinois in 2017. He built a successful business and created raving fans all over our market. In 2020 he took the same leadership and philosophies and acquired the Five Star Painting of New Orleans and Mandeville so he and his wife Sherri could raise their children closer to Sherri’s family. In late 2021, Brian also acquired the Five Star Painting of South Baton Rouge location.
When Brian is not working or with his family, he enjoys music,(playing the drums) boating, and participating with his iRacing team. He is also a huge animal lover and has to give a shout out to their four legged baby, Tyson, their lab mix.
Dan McMillan
Following 28 years of sales/customer service experience leading Enterprise organizations in large corporations, Dan was presented with an opportunity to acquire Five Star Painting of Woodstock & Kennesaw in 2016. At Five Star, Dan has been blessed to build an incredible team which has delivered consistent annual growth. Beginning in 2018 his performance has ranked in the top 5% Five Star territories nationwide.
Five Star Painting, a division of Neighborly, is a national painting franchise with over 200 owners in North America and Canada. We specialize in commercial and residential painting of both interiors and exteriors. We also provide staining services as well as cabinet finishing/painting.
Dan is married to Meredith and they have 3 Children who also support the business in various capacities. Dan and his family are active members of their local church and community. Outside activities and hobbies include: Camping, Mountain Biking, Fishing, Scuba Diving, Hiking.
Anthony Kulikowski
Anthony has spent his career in the painting industry. He learned the trade from his wife’s grandfather who started his painting and decorating business in the early 1950’s. Anthony has over 25 years of experience in the industry and has run his own painting businesses for the last 20 years, currently Anthony and his wife Justine operate Five Star Painting of South Bend, Elkhart, and Berrien & Cass county. While operating our painting business we were often asked by clients if we install gutters and after seeing a need in our community and the lack of professionalism in the industry we decided to open Top Rated Gutters alongside our friends in the industry who have the same passion for delivering quality products and world class customer service.
Anthony is married to his wife of 23 years and they have 4 children, Isaiah, Hailie, Joshua and Makaila. When Anthony is not working he enjoys traveling, time with his family and going to the beach.
